Happy New Year 2019

Happy New Year 2019 | nadine mneimneh

Five years ago on that day, I was getting myself ready to meet my friends and celebrate, when we received a phone call at home that my grandfather had just passed away.

I had a weird gut feeling throughout that day, and when we got that phone call, it hit me how, most of the time, our gut feeling can be a guiding thread.

Fast forward a couple of months later, I met somebody who opened my eyes on human energy, how it work, and how it’s important to trust the way we feel.

I’m someone who is sensitive by nature, and my personal goal has been to learn to trust myself and let go of all the negativity and fear, which is not very easy when you are solo running a business in a country such as Lebanon.

Every year I have a special thought for my grandfather on that day, and I make the same wishes of finding the strength to go out of my comfort zone, to trust that gut feeling and to be surrounded by people that vibrate positivity.

2018 was a wonderful year for me , of course we all have ups and downs, but I’m looking forward to 2019 and I’ll keep pushing as a celebration of all the gifts I was lucky to be given.

Have a Wonderful New Year, may all your wishes come true ❤️

The heart seeks pleasure first

The heart seeks pleasure first | nadine mneimneh

I’m always looking for the perfect soundtracks of my life. As music accompanies me throughout my days, waltzing with my imagination, it also sets the rhythm of my heartbeat. This picture of me was taken by my lovely sister @carine_stereo during my last trip to the UK, at the breathtaking Seven Sisters Cliffs beach, and Michael Nyman was playing in my head.

I’m working on the new collection, it will be out soon 🙂

Eight questions with .. Rosemin Manji

Eight questions with .. Rosemin Manji | nadine mneimneh

One of the recurrent questions I get asked is “Who are your clients ?”

At a time when algorithms are shaping our ideas of “what is trending”, with images that encourage consumerist urges and trigger different ideas of Luxury, not to forget the latest beauty standards that somehow turned their back on Nature’s gifts..

Well, as a fashion designer and maker I do live every business milestone as a victory amidst that self-imposed digital system that has blurred the paths to success for newcomers, but also impaired older labels in their digital transition. A new system that influences towards immediate validation instead of sustainable growth, therefore I live every client purchase as a moment of grace 🙂 I have added a new blog section on my site called “Eight Questions with..” where I get to present wonder women who have shown support to my brand, whether since the early days or more recently.

I’m starting “Eight Questions with..” with Mrs. Rosemin Manji @roseminsworld , Digital Influencer and Founder – Managing Director of RR&Co. Bespoke Luxury Management, leading luxury consultancy firm in the Middle East.

1 – How would you describe your personal style?
Classic, feminine with a twist of trend

2 – You’ll never get caught wearing …
Probably Crocs

3 – What’s your favourite part of your job?
My job varies to be honest, and I like that one day I can be presenting/hosting on TV and next day modelling for a brand.

4 – What is the best advice you’ve been given?
There is no such thing as failure, it’s a way to tell that you are in the wrong direction so learn your lesson and get back on the right path !

5 – Who are your heroes?
I would say people I respect and admire for their contribution to society and making me a better person
The Aga Khan
Oprah
Ellen
Barak and Michelle Obama
My Mom

6- What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
One thing I do love is really relaxing at home. I love curling up on the couch and watching tonight show with Jimmy Fallon or Big little lies

7 – What are you currently working on?
I’m working on next season of She’ s Mercedes women’s empowerment campaign, Harper’s Bazaar Arabia “House of Bazaar” in October, and shooting for Roberto Coin jewellery fall campaign

8 – What do you love most about your “nadine mneimneh” pieces?
When I shop I’m only interested in good cuts and fabrics, and that’s the ethos of her brand. It reminds me of pieces I own from Alber Elbaz from 10-15 years ago and still have them.
